National Minimum Wage rates are to rise from October 2010, with the minimum rate for workers aged 21 and over rising to £5.93 an hour. For the first time a minimum wage rate for apprentices has been set.

The IPP (Institute of Payroll Professionals) promotes a week of fun and professional events designed to raise the profile of the industry and herald the unsung heroes in it, who work tirelessly to ensure that each and every one of us gets paid the right amount and on time.

Once again a number of Cintra HR & Payroll employees stepped out to do the 5km run along Newcastle and Gateshead Quayside. This year sporting Neon Orange over twenty Cintra employees hit the streets of Newcastle, managing to raise over £1,000 for this much needed cause.
